Have you ever thought of how many people in a hospital never knew it would be their last visit?

Or how many passers-by never knew they needed a check-up, as death would soon pay them a visit?

How many never knew that with one more step there would be a glimpse of hope?

How many addicts never knew they could actually make it through?

How many drunk drivers never knew it would be their last ride?

How many survivors never knew one day they could share their story?

How many desperate mothers never knew they wouldn't meet the miracle they hoped for?

How many marriages never knew that death wouldn't be when they part?

How many people turned away not knowing there would be no opportunity to look back?

How many walls of a home never knew they would soon have no one to look unto?

How many full hearts never knew they would soon be broken?

How many lovers never knew they'd leave as "friends"?

How many friends never knew they'd start back as strangers?

How many families never knew what would drift them apart?

How many believing never knew how direly they would suffer at the feet of such belief?

How many of us go about not knowing because we never dare did?

That seems to be the course of life,

many things....circumstances...so unpredictable.

Nothing a sorcerer could tell,

Nothing a few cards could predict,

Nothing known from a wishing well,

Or the "universe" could inflict.

Only one solely in control,

whose hands put moons and stars in place,

who isn't bound by time and space.

Only one who orchestrated before a day came to be,

who knows before we see.

Well,

have you ever thought of the unpredictable?

Or have you kept letting your thoughts play out your future?

Have you ever sought what's already been in store for you?

Or have you kept sticking to the plan in your own mind too?

You might not know now,

but it always comes...

You can't escape it somehow~
